About Twinkle Locs

Unoma has always loved jewellery she doesn't have to think about. No taking it off at night, no worrying about tarnish, no replacing it every few months. When she got her locs in 2024, she wanted to carry that same ease into her hair. She started looking for ways to decorate them, but everything she tried would eventually fade or rust. The beads would lose their shine. The look would not last.

Then she discovered a trend online of women putting beads in their locs, and something clicked. She went deep into researching fade-resistant beads, testing different sources until she found the ones that held their finish. She started wearing them herself, and the compliments followed everywhere she went. People would ask where she got them. She would tell them. And almost every time, the response was the same: "That sounds like too much trouble."

So she did the trouble for them. She sourced the beads, put together everything needed to apply them, and Twinkle Locs was born.
